Arresting Questions

In her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy poses many arresting questions for the reader to consider. Some of them are listed below. I love to ponder these questions, and hope you will, too.

Is there no divine permission to conquer discord of every kind with harmony, with Truth and Love? —  p. 394

Should we implore a corporeal God to heal the sick out of His personal volition, or should we understand the infinite divine Principle which heals? —  p. 167

When will it be understood that matter has neither intelligence, life, nor sensation, and that the opposite belief is the prolific source of all suffering? —  p. 205

Which was first, Mind or medicine? —  p. 142

Why pray for the recovery of the sick, if you are without faith in God's willingness and ability to heal them? —  p. 218
